This site will tell you what kind of fuel economy to expect out of your vehicle. You will need this site to prove that the vehicle that you are purchasing is going to get better fuel economy than the one you are trading.
If you are looking for a new Car:
If you are looking for a new car, you will have to prove that you get 4 mpg better for $3500
If you are looking to get $4500, then the new car will have to get 10 mpg better.
New Cars will need to start at 22MPG+
If you are looking for a new Truck:
Your new truck will need to get 2 mpg better to receive $3500
Your new truck will need to get 5 mpg better to receive $4500
New trucks will need to start at 18MPG +
Some stipulations:
1. You are only eligible for one vehicle. You cant' receive another Car allowance from another dealer.
2. You can only use the vehicle years from the chart at: http://fueleconomy.gov/ 1985-2010
3. You must have had insurance on your car or truck for at least for a full year (proof)
4. You must have a copy of the registration for at least 1 full year.
5. Trade must have combined city/highway fuel economy PRINTOUT (18 MPG or Less)
6. Trade must be in drivable condition.
7. The new MSRP is under $45,000
