Background:For the last three seasons, ford has partnered with ABC’s highly rated Extreme Makeover: Home edition, providing vehicles to families through positive, problem-solving and uplifting messages which coincice with the family’s needs and story line.- created seamless meaningful, emotional connections with viewers highlighting Ford products and key attributes in -show.- Ford and ABC have successfully launched the Edge Across America consumer promotion and further, obtained support within ABC show content for the first time ever.
Objectives: - Continue to build strong, brand name awareness, interest & excitement around the new Ford Edge._Further connect Ford to the excitement/popularity of the show to elicit a positive, favorable response-Generate hand raisers by creating this unique and impactful consumer promotion surrounding on-air content and integration.
Promotional Concept:EM:HE will remake a house in each of the 50 states over the course of two seasons.Strategically link the Edge with show structure by awarding on e Edge to a deserving family in each state.-Consumers submitted stories online to be considered for the Edge Across America promotion Stories upheld consistency with the Bold Moves campaign; contestants needed to prove triumph over tragedy and difficulty without letting life get them down; these people strive to seize the moment and put a positive spin on life despite hardships.
Prize Structure:-One grand prize winner tor receive a state-of-the-art garage makeover in addition to winning the new Edge from Ford
-49 families to win Edge vehicles-A garage makeover and Edge giveaway were also featured as an in-show integration element, linking show content to the promotion.
